6:30 Heather’s Concerns

 

A LEAGUE

          games have been pretty even Puckheads being at the wrong level?? No, they just have a short bench

                 and are tired. 

          Red Army/Northlanders/Puckheads….need to do some recruiting of old members back to league     

          Referees: I know there are some A players that have reffed. I’d like to get them back This seems to be                    a struggle at the A level and I’m working on it; I always prefer 2 refs. Encourage former referees                      to come back at least for one game every so often, recruit high school players to referee

 

B+ LEAGUE

         Fundies dominating everyone…too many A players?

                  Maximum of three players from the next highest league can play down on one team. We’ll adjust

                  this spring.

                  Other three teams seem pretty even

 

B- LEAGUE

         Very balanced Would like to see a few more players…three teams have 10 and a goalie, would like 11

 

C LEAGUE

          Rink Rebels could play up as a team, one guy seems to dominate (Biel)

                 Discuss with the team to move ½ team up, leave ½ team down or all move up. Very balanced

                 otherwise

 

6:35-6:45 Meet with A/B/C teams amongst yourselves, come up with people/team concerns

6:45 A/B/C regroup – what needs to be done for each league to ensure balance and satisfaction

 

ALL LEAGUE MEETING

6:50 TAGS – why we changed to printed tags, what I’m trying to accomplish; permanent structures? Take

                   responsibility from scorekeeper, put back on players Offer deals at local businesses, looks more                     professional. $1 replacement cost

BUDGET     

          Explain difference from past year to this year Hand out budget so people can see where the money i

                   going

BOARD 

          Need a volunteer from each level to serve on the board Not difficult; usually just a sounding board  for            discipline issues, figure out my compensation package, listen to people complain about me

                Ben Elliot (C), Steve Elmer (F), Nick Hulst (E) and Dick Pfarrer (D) have volunteered, could still use                  A/B+/B- reps.

ARENA ISSUES

          Lighting – dangerous, creates liability issue

          Skate Sharpening – no one in arena to use the BladeMaster anymore

7:10 Heather’s concerns

          D LEAGUE

                 Outlaws way to aggressive for D league, other individual players too aggressive

                 Foxes plan on dropping down in January, Goaldiggers will more up.

 

          E LEAGUE

                 Bulldogs beat everyone, have won the last three seasons, but feel they aren’t ready to move.

                 Top team in the league will move up to D next fall, lowest team in D will move down.

                 Well balanced

 

          F LEAGUE

                  Seems to be going well; teams will be re-rostered for the 2nd half of the season

                  Teams will be switched out after the Instructional classes tonight.

 

7:15- 7:25 Meet with D/E/F teams amongst yourselves, come up with people/team concerns
